The Rock and The Sea

The rock is grounded

In the shifting sea strand

Brave, strong, full of valor

A barrier in the rages of a storm

The sea licks up against the rock

Seeking out with frothy surges

Seeping through hidden crevices

Softening rough hewn edges

With undercurrents effervescent

Searching to touch your chest,

Firm and solid, full of heat,

To connect

My hands cool and moist,

Swirling motions,

Each stroke, nerve endings tingle

Sizzling like cool rainwater on sun-baked cement

I seek you out

In a surge

Of probing fingers
